Project narrative

The Confucius Classroom at Midlothian Council was established in 2015. It is hosted at Lasswade High School in Midlothian. The Confucius Institute Headquarters (Hanban) awarded the Confucius Classroom status in recognition of the school's achievements in Chinese language and culture education, providing Lasswade High School with a grant. It was nominated as one of the candidate Confucius Classrooms for the Confucius Classroom of the year 2017 award. The Confucius Classroom’s partner school is Tianjin No. 25 High School. The Confucius Classroom was running before it was officially opened having begun operates on November 14, 2014.. The original Confucius Institute project is tracked under Record ID#44297.
