Project narrative

The Confucius Classroom at Shetland Islands Council was established on February 23, 2016. It is hosted at Sandwick Junior High School in the Shetland Islands. The Confucius Institute Headquarters (Hanban) awarded the Confucius Classroom status in recognition of the school's achievements in Chinese language and culture education, providing Sandwick Junior High School with a grant. The Confucius Classroom’s partner school is Tianjin No. 102 High School. The Confucius Classroom was running before it was officially opened having begun operations on November 4, 2014. The original Confucius Institute project is tracked under Record ID#44297.
