Project narrative

The Confucius Classroom at Sunshine School was established in 2010. The Confucius Institute Headquarters (Hanban) awarded the Confucius Classroom status in recognition of the school's achievements in Chinese language and culture education, providing Sunshine School with a grant. Sunshine School is located in the Chinese Embassy. In 2013, Sunshine School had 20 students, an early childhood department, and six grades of elementary school. Students were learning Chinese, Mathematics, Chinese martial arts, handwork, and dance. The original Confucius Institute project is tracked under Record ID#44307.
