Project narrative

On August 14, 2020, the Chinese Government donated NUCTECH mobile container scanners worth $5 million USD to Guyana. The ceremony was held at the Guyana National Industrial Company Inc. Port in Georgetown where the scanners were to be used. The donation includes a relocatable 1 container/vehicle inspection system, 1 container code recognition system, 1 radioactivity monitor, and 2 x-ray inspection systems.
