Narrative

Full Description

Project narrative

On December 21, 2020, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of China (MARA) donated 200,000 doses of cattle vaccines to the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF) of Cambodia for emergency use in a handover ceremony held in Beijing. The vaccines included doses for foot-and-mouth disease (FMD) and Hemorrhagic Septicemia (HS). This donation followed the formal request by MAFF on December 4, 2020 for assistance controlling cattle diseases. On December 13, 2020, MARA responded with a letter agreeing to provide 200,000 doses of vaccines stating that the doses had been developed and donated by Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences's veterinarian lab in Lanzhou and China Agricultural Vet.Bio. Science and Technology via the coordination of MARA. The handover ceremony on December 21, 2020 was attended by Vice Minister Zhang Taolin and H.E. Ms. Khek M Caimealy, Ambassador of Cambodia to China and was presided over by Chief Agronomist Guang Defu.
