Project narrative

On September 27, 2019, the Confucius Classroom at Eötvös József High School and Primary Schools was officially opened. The Confucius Institute Headquarters (Hanban) helped establish the Confucius Classroom at Szeged and Térsége Eötvös József High School and Primary Schools in recognition of the Szeged area's achievements in Chinese language and culture education, providing Szeged and Térsége Eötvös József High School, Primary School and Lajos Kossuth Primary School with additional funding and resources. The classroom was created in partnership between the University of Szeged, the Szeged Education Center, and Hanban. The Classroom was established in affiliation with the Confucius Institute at the University of Szeged. The original Confucius Institute project is tracked under Record ID#44269. On February 3, 2021, Hanban provided a HUF 5 million forint donation of two multimedia interactive tools to the Confucius Classroom at Szeged and Térsége Eötvös József High School and Primary Schools. This project is tracked separately under ID#90989.
