The Confucius Classroom at South Ayrshire was established on September 22, 2016. It is hosted at Queen Margaret Academy in South Ayrshire. The Confucius Institute Headquarters (Hanban) awarded the Confucius Classroom status in recognition of the school's achievements in Chinese language and culture education, providing Queen Margaret Academy with a grant. The Confucius Classroom’s partner school is Tianjin No.20 High School. The Confucius Classroom was running before it was officially opened.
