Project narrative

On October 1, 2020, the Chinese Government provided a GYD 6.02 billion grant to the Government of Guyana for the Parks and Mini Sports Stadiums Project. The purpose of the project was to construct miniature sports stadiums in regions 2, 6, and 10 of Guyana as well as Guyana-China Friendship Park in region 3. The project entails provision for multi-purpose sport facilities at Anna Regina, Albion and MacKenzie. The originally expected project completion date was December 31, 2023.
