Project narrative

On April 22, 2020, a batch of anti-epidemic medical supplies donated by the Chinese government arrived at the Salvador Romero International Airport in El Salvador. The donation included 10,000 N95 masks, 2,000 sets of protective suits, gloves, parasols, shoe covers, and 300 thermometers. Ambassador Ou Jianhong from the Chinese Embassy held a handover ceremony with the Deputy Minister of Health, Alvarenga, and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Victor Lagos. Yao Ming, the Economic and Commercial Counselor of the Chinese Embassy and others attended the ceremony. The monetary value of the donated goods is unknown.
