Project narrative

On February 3, 2018, a handover ceremony was held for the China-Benin Friendship School in the town of Ewé Condji (Ewécondji) within the commune of Grand-Popo. The construction of the school was fully funded by the Chinese Government with a grant. The school consists of 5 ultramodern classrooms with computer equipment (from Huawei), an administrative block, a water and sanitation structure, and 2 playgrounds (one for soccer and one for basketball). Benin’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Aurelien Agbenonci, said that the school would serve as a model for excellence, reduce juvenile delinquency, and help students better prepare for the future.
