Project narrative

On July 31, 2020, the Chinese Government and the Mongolia Ministry of Finance signed letters of exchange, which officially committed RMB 600 million of grant funding for the Border Inspection Equipment Procurement Project. The purpose of the project is to install customs (border) inspection equipment at Mongolia’s major ports and prevent smuggling. The grant will be used to purchase the necessary equipment.
