On July 23, 2020, the Chinese Embassy in Suriname donated enti-epidemic supplies to Suriname Government, and Liu Quan, Ambassador in Suriname, handed over this donation to Suriname to President Chan Santokhi. The wife of the President of Suriname, Mellisa Santokhi-Seenacherry, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Albert Ramdin, and a member of the National Assembly, Wang Chuanrui, attended this event.
