Description

On January 18, 2021, the Chinese Ambassador to Argentina, Zou Xiaoli, and Argentine Minister of Defense, Agustín Rossi, met to discuss the donation of a mobile field hospital to the Argentine Army. On February 10, 2021, the hospital arrived at the port of Zárate. It is a KANGFEI brand model BLAT30EX14V equipped with an operating room, dental offices, radiology laboratory, water plant, and other medical services; it is worth approximately USD 5 million. Also included in this donation were four tents for the patient room, 90 VHF portable radios and 15 VHF backpack radios. The hospital's place of deployment was not yet determined at the time of its arrival in Argentina.

Additional details

1. This project should not be confused with the deployment of a mobile military hospital on March 21, 2020 to the Campo de Mayo. This hospital was also donated by the Chinese Government, but was handed over to the Argentine Army in 2017 and is captured in project #89903, rather than being a separate hospital donation.
