On May 15th 2020, the Chinese Embassy in the Dominican Republic donated medical supplies to Santiago, Dominican Republic. The amount and value of this donation are not specified, but the purpose of this donation is to help the Dominican Republic in fighting against the pandemic. Ambassador Zhang Run was invited to visit Santiago, the second largest city in the Dominican Republic, to meet with Mayor Martinez and jointly attend donation ceremony.
