Qingdao Municipal Government provides donation of 10,000 masks worth RMB 16,000 to Montevideo in December 2020

On June 8, 2020, the Montevideo Municipal Government passed a resolution accepting a donation of 10,000 masks from the Qingdao Municipal Government and approving the text of the agreement that had committed the donation. This agreement, signed on an unknown date, was signed by the Office of Foreign Affairs of the Municipal Government of Qingdao and representatives of the Government of Montevideo. Then, on June 25, 2020, the Qingdao Municipal Government requested to amend the donation agreement. On July 13, 2020, Montevideo approved the updated text. On December 31, 2020, the handover ceremony took place for the materials. According to the updated donation agreement, the donated materials had a total value of RMB 16,000 and were intended to help Montevideo combat COVID-19.
