On April 28, 2020 the Chinese Embassy in Uruguay reported that CCPIT Chongqing Branch had recently provided a donation of 8,000 masks to Uruguay's Ministry of Foreign Affairs in order to combat the COVID - 19 pandemic. Harvard's Mask Diplomacy dataset estimated the donation's value to be about USD 3,200.
