Project narrative

On March 13, 2020, a ceremony commemorating a donation from the National Health Commission of China to the Ministry of Health of Dominica was held at the China-Dominica Friendship Hospital in Roseau. Wang Quanhuo, head of the Chinese Embassy's Economic and Commercial Office, and Leticia Lestrate-Wyke, the permanent secretary of the Dominican Ministry of Health, signed the donation handover certificate. Equipment donated included 24-hour ambulatory ECG monitors, 24-hour ambulatory blood pressure monitors, a full digital color Puller ultrasound diagnostic system, wireless full digital ultrasound imaging diagnostic instrument, laparoscopic needle holders, Conkey laparoscopic forceps and clips, portable slit lamps, and laser diagnostic mirrors. According to the Chinese Embassy, the donation was worth 573,700 yuan.
