Project narrative

On June 25, 2020, the Chinese government donated 100,000 surgical masks, 20,000 PPE suits, 20,000 N95 masks, 20,000 infrared thermometers, 10,000 goggles, and 20,000 face shields to the Mexican Institute of Security and Social Services of State Workers (ISSSTE). This donation is valued at USD $425,000. A handover ceremony was held for this donation. China’s Ambassador to Mexico, Zhu Qingqiao, the Deputy Foreign Minister for Multilateral and Human Rights Affairs of the Mexican Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Director of the Federal Commission for the Prevention of Health Risks, the Director of the Security and Service Bureau, and Zou Chuanming, the Commercial Counselor of the Embassy, attended the ceremony. Commercial Counselor Zou Chuanming and Director Ramirez signed a material handover certificate at the ceremony.
