Project narrative

On October 28th, 2020, The Chinese Embassy in Liberia held an online ceremony to grant the "Chinese Ambassador Scholarship" to Liberian students. This scholarship benefitted more than 130 students from three Liberian universities: the University of Liberia, Cuttington University and Tubman University. The students were selected with the help of the Liberian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Education. The purpose of the scholarship is to help Liberian students to realize their personal ideals and making contributions to Liberia's education. More than 30 people including Chinese ambassador Ren Yisheng, Deputy Minister of Education of Liberia, Latim, President of the University of Liberia, Nielsen, representatives of Cardington University and Tubman University, representatives of award-winning students, and media reporters attended online. The ceremony was streamed from Monrovia.
