Project narrative

On May 8, 2020, the Chinese Embassy reported that it recently provided food relief to low income families in Gaborone, the capital of Botswana. According to the Embassy, this donation will assist more than 200 families in Botswana who have been negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. This donation was completed in partnership with the Gaborone City Council. The monetary value of this donation is unknown. Following the donation, the Mayor of Gaborone sent a letter to Zhao Yanbo, the Chinese Ambassador to Botswana, thanking the Embassy for the donation.
