Project narrative

On March 19, 2020 the National Health Commission of China announced it would send a group of eight medical experts to Venezuela. The team was sent to help Venezuela in the effort against the Covid-19 pandemic. They were selected by the commission of health of the Jiangsu province, and specialize in laboratory testing, infectious disease control, and respiratory and critical disease sciences. The team flew from the Jiangsu province and landed in Caracas on March 30. During their time there, they met with various government organizations and shared China's experience dealing with Covid-19. Upon their departure on April 11, the Venezuelan government granted the eight experts with the second level of the Order of Francisco de Miranda.
