Project narrative

On April 14, 2020, CCCC Shanghai Dredging Co., Ltd. America Corp. (SDC), a state-owned Chinese infrastructure and construction company, donated masks, gloves and other health supplies to the Panama Maritime Authority. These supplies will be used to combat COVID-19 in Panama. The specific type and amount of supplies, and the monetary value of this donation are unknown. The donation was announced through a tweet by the head of the Chinese Embassy's Economic and Commercial Counsellor's Office, Wang Jian.
