Description

On July 13th, 2020, the Chargé d'affaires of the Chinese Embassy in Liberia, Xu Kun, handed over the anti-epidemic materials donated by China to Liberia. This donation included forehead thermometers, masks, and a batch of rice. Professor Peng Liyuan donated the materials on behalf of the Chinese government to the office of the wife of the President of Liberia. Gaelle Mediem, Director of the Office of the First Lady of Lebanon, Sherdrick Jackson, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lebanon, and Li Jiang, Economic and Commercial Counselor attended the ceremony. This batch of materials is the third batch of anti-epidemic materials donated by the Chinese government to Liberia. It also supports Professor Peng Liyuan, wife of Chinese President Xi Jinping, in helping women, children, and adolescents in African countries, including Liberia, fight the pandemic. In addition to masks and forehead thermometers, the Chinese Embassy also donated a batch of rice. China will continue to firmly support Liberia's anti-pandemic development, implement the consensus reached by the two countries' leaders, and continuously advance the friendship between China and Liberia.
