Project narrative

On October 18, 2013, China's Ministry of Culture donated 200 books and an online VIP membership to the National Library of China to the Joseph Needham Research Institute at the University of Cambridge. The donation included books about history and archaeology, monthly magazines on water conservancy in North China, and a collection of basic documents on China’s marine navigation history and traditional folk dyeing skills.
