Narrative

Full Description

Project narrative

On October 8, 2020, Shanghai Municipal Government donated anti-epidemic medical supplies to Seychelles' Government of Victoria. The mayor of Victoria, André, received this donation on behalf of the city and disbursed them to the Seychelles Ministry of Health and the Seychelles Red Cross. This donation includes 30,000 medical masks and 18,000 pairs of medical gloves. The purpose of this donation is to help Victoria, Shanghai’s friendship city, in its fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

Staff comments

1. Shanghai and Victoria have been "sister cities" since they signed an agreement in 2013. AidData has estimated the transaction amount for this donation based on price catalogues from the World Health Organization (WHO). Please see the TUFF Methodology for additional details.
