Project narrative

On August 13, 2020, the Chinese city Changchun donated 24,000 surgical masks to Tijuana, Mexico for COVID-19 prevention efforts. Changchun is considered a “sister city” of Tijuana. The monetary value of this donation is unknown. A handover ceremony took place for this donation. The masks were received by the Tijuana City Council. Arturo Pérez Behr, the Secretary of Economic Development of Tijuana, also attended the ceremony.
