Project narrative

On December 22, 2020, the 9th shipment of anti-pandemic materials from China arrived in Venezuela. The shipment included medicines and medical products as well as PCR tests, rapid tests, masks, disposable gowns, and an oxygen concentrator. The materials arrived at the Simon Bolivar International Airport. As of the arrival of this shipment, Venezuela had received 247 tons of anti-pandemic materials from China. The Vice President of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, accepted the donation from Chinese Ambassador to Venezuela Li Baorong. Upon the acceptance, the vice president thanked China for its assistance with materials while the country was facing an economic barricade and increased sanctions from other countries including the United States.
