The Confucius Classroom at Meadowbank School was established on June 16, 2015. The Confucius Institute Headquarters (Hanban) awarded the Confucius Classroom status in recognition of the school's achievements in Chinese language and culture education, providing Meadowbank School with a grant. It was the seventh school to establish a Confucius Classroom in Auckland. The original Confucius Institute project is tracked under Record ID#44178.
