The Confucius Classroom at New Lynn School was established on July 23, 2015. The Confucius Institute Headquarters (Hanban) awarded the Confucius Classroom status in recognition of the school's achievements in Chinese language and culture education, providing New Lynn School with a grant. It was the 8th school to establish a Confucius Classroom in Auckland. The original Confucius Institute project is tracked under Record ID#44178.
