Project narrative

The Confucius Classroom at Columba College was established on June 26, 2011. The Confucius Institute Headquarters (Hanban) awarded the Confucius Classroom status in recognition of the school's achievements in Chinese language and culture education, providing Columba College with a grant. This Confucius Classroom is the first to be established in South Island. It began operations in 2012. The original Confucius Institute project is tracked under Record ID#44177.
