Project narrative

The Confucius Classroom at Wanganui High School was established on August 8, 2012. The Confucius Institute Headquarters (Hanban) awarded the Confucius Classroom status in recognition of the school's achievements in Chinese language and culture education, providing Wanganui High School with a grant. Its partner school is Xuzhou Gulou No. 2 High School, Jiangsu, China. The classroom was formally opened on May 21, 2013. The original Confucius Institute project is tracked under Record ID#44176.
