Project narrative

On February 28, 2011, the Chinese Government announced it would make a $500,000 USD cash donation for emergency relief to New Zealand following the 6.3 magnitude earthquake in Christchurch on February 22, 2011 that resulted in the deaths of 185 people. Other donations include USD 50,000 from the Red Cross Society of China (Record ID#92049) and RMB 100,000 from the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (Record ID#92048).
