On April 4, 2020, China donated AIDS medicines and medical equipment, worth USD 400,000, to the Burundi Ministry of Public Health. The materials are meant to help the country's fight against AIDS. The donated materials will be used in the resuscitation and surgery departments at the Prince Regent Charles Hospital.
