Description
On January 1, 2014, China Eximbank and the Government of Côte d'Ivoire signed a CFA 10 billion loan agreement for the Electricity Network Distribution Rehabilitation Project. The borrowing terms of this loan are unknown. However, according to the Government of Côte d'Ivoire’s Aid Management Platform (AMP), the loan full disbursed in a single tranche on November 1, 2014. The purpose of the project was to improve household access to electricity, facilitate cross-border supply requests, and meet growing demand for electricity connections from users in various industrial fields. According to the AMP, the project was completed on December 31, 2015.
