Project narrative

According to the Government of Cote d'Ivoire’s Aid Management Platform (AMP), the Chinese Government and the Government of Cote d'Ivoire signed a CFA 625,000,000 grant agreement to support the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Conference Center Maintenance Project on September 3, 2013. CFA 625,000,000 was disbursed in support of this project in a single tranche on June 30, 2014. The purpose of the project was to provide maintenance and upkeep of an Ivorian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MEMAE) conference center, which was constructed with support from the Chinese Government between 2007 and 2009 (as captured via Record ID#713). The project also involved the provision and installation of equipment and the training of Ivorian technicians. Project implementation commenced on July 17, 2013 and concluded on July 16, 2015. Then, on October 3, 2017, the Chinese Government and the Government of Cote d'Ivoire signed a three-year agreement for a Ministry of Foreign Affairs Conference Center and Ministerial Block Technical Cooperation Project.
