Project narrative

On July 7, 2020, the Rwanda Biomedical Center (RBC) received 120,000 body temperature testers and 18,000 surgical face masks from the First Lady of China, Peng Liyuan. The supplies were a donation for the First Lady of Rwanda, Jeannette Kagame, and were delivered to Dr. Sabin Nsanzimana, the Director General of RBC. The First Lady of China donated the supplies to the Organization of African First Ladies, which then donated supplies to Rwanda. The handover ceremony was held at the MPPC warehouse of Rwanda Biomedical Center (RBC) in Kigali. The Political Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Rwanda, Xing Yuchun, the Advisor to the First Lady of Rwanda, Radegonde Ndejuru, and RBC’s Dr. Sabin Nsanzimana attended the ceremony.
