The purpose of the project is to construct a 15,000 seat stadium in the Northern Bari Area of Molobor East of Bilpam, Lado County in Juba. The new stadium will have a gross floor area of 21,000 and 1,600 training round which will have a combined capacity of 22,600. The main stadium will have a total of 18,000 seats. Construction activities will include the main stadium, a training ground and an integrated service center which will have accommodation, canteen, meeting, and training halls and storage with an ample parking space at the main entrance. In July 2019, the Government of South Sudan announced that it had secured a $25 million grant from the Chinese Government for a Juba Stadium Construction Project. The purpose of the project is to construct a 15,000 seat stadium in the Northern Bari Area of Molobor East of Bilpam, Lado County in Juba. The new stadium will have a gross floor area of 21,000 and 1,600 training round which will have a combined capacity of 22,600. The main stadium will have a total of 18,000 seats. Construction activities will include the main stadium, a training ground and an integrated service center which will have accommodation, canteen, meeting, and training halls and storage with an ample parking space at the main entrance. China Metallurgical Group Corporation (中国冶金科工集团公司 or MCC) is responsible for project implementation. It is unclear whether works ever began.
