Description
According to the Government of Ghana’s Development Cooperation Management Information System (Gh-DCMIS), the Chinese Government agreed — at least in principle — to provide a $126 million loan to the Government of Ghana for the E-Resource Infrastructure Project in 2020. The borrowing terms of the loan are unknown. The purpose of the project is to establish an ICT-based National GeoSpatial Data Infrastructure (NDSI), and an e-forestry system for monitoring natural resource production and identifying and addressing unauthorized forestry production activities. The Gh-DCMIS identifies the project’s originally expected commencement and completion dates as December 31, 2020 and October 31, 2024, respectively.
