Project narrative

On May 25, 2020, an anti-epidemic expert team of 12 members arrived in Malabo in response to the COVID-19 epidemic. The team was formed by the National Health Commission and selected by the Hunan Provincial Health Commission. The team included experts in respiratory care, infectious disease, intensive care, Infection control, public health, laboratory testing and nursing. Zhao Lijian, the spokesman for the Foreign Ministry Information Department of the People's Republic of China, announced their arrival on May 25. The team remained in Equatorial Guinea for 10 days and left on June 8, 2020, after providing medical assistance.
