Description

On September 12, 2020, the 16th medical team arrived from the West China Hospital and started the handover process with the 15th medical team in São Tomé and Príncipe. They started working on September 21, 2020 after 9 days of training and the handover process. They worked in the Iris de Menezé National Hospital and Dashui District Central Clinic and provided aid in obstetrics, gynecology, cardiovascular medicine, general surgery, stomatology, acupuncture, and moxibustion. Their mission was officially completed on September 22, 2021. However, they returned to China on November 30, 2021, which is 69 days delayed from the planned departure date due to COVID-19.
