Project narrative

On June 25, 2020, the Chinese Embassy donated hand-washing devices to 100 primary and secondary schools in Tanzania to aid in the fight against COVID-19. The donation included: 100 hand-washing devices and 550 liters of hand sanitizer. The donation is worth 22,000,000 Tanzanian Shillings. The handover ceremony took place at the embassy and was jointly organized by the Chinese Embassy in Tanzania and the Tanzanian NGO Kawa Foundation. Wang Ke, Chinese Ambassador to Tanzania, Malangwa, Acting Administrative Secretary of the Province of Tajikistan, Mfuma, Chief Medical Officer, Kowa, Executive Director-General of the Kaowa Foundation, and representatives of the donated schools attended the ceremony.
