Narrative

Full Description

Project narrative

On March 4, 2022, the Chinese embassy in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) donated a batch of anti-epidemic materials to the University of Kinshasa. Among the donated materials were a ventilator and an oxygen generator. The monetary value of the donation is unknown. The donation occurred in a handover ceremony attended by Ambassador Zhu Jing, University of Kinshasa President Ntunba, members of the school management committee, various department heads, and student representatives. At the ceremony, Ambassador Zhu Jing stressed the fact that the COVID-19 virus continued to spread around the world and that China had not been absent in providing assistance to the DRC. President Ntunba thanked China for its support and noted that the materials would help to ease the medical pressure on the DRC.
