Project narrative

On June 23, 2020, PetroChina Company Limited, a Chinese oil and gas company, donated a batch of anti-epidemic materials to the Ministry of Petroleum and Mining of South Sudan. The total donation amounted to 112 boxes of medical supplies. The materials included 100,00 surgical masks, 5,000 N95 masks, and 100 thermometers. The monetary value of this donation is unknown. A handover ceremony was held for this donation in Juba, the capital of South Sudan. China’s Ambassador to Sudan, Hua Ning, South Sudan's Deputy Minister of Petroleum and Mining, the Economic and Commercial Counselor of the Embassy, and the Deputy General Manager of PetroChina International attended the ceremony.
