Full Description

Project narrative

On May 12, 2020, a team of 12 Chinese medical experts arrived in Kinshasa, the capital of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), and delivered anti-epidemic material assistance to the Congolese government (see Record ID#94232 for the donation). The team consisted of experts in testing, respiratory medicine, traditional Chinese medicine, and infectious disease control. The team had three goals: instruct DRC doctors and leaders in Chinese methods and practices in prevention and control, donate supplies to the DRC, and exchange information with their Congolese counterparts to create avenues for future cooperation.
