On May 10, 2020, 32 Chinese-funded enterprises and institutions donated 24 tons of food materials and anti-epidemic supplies to Mauritania for Ramadan. The donation was intended as a gift as well as assistance in fighting the COVID-19 pandemic. The donation was jointly organized by the Chinese Embassy in Mauritania along with the 32 Chinese-funded enterprises and institutions. The exact agencies involved are unknown, as well as the contents of the medical donation and the value of the donation.
