Project narrative

On September 18, 2021, the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs delivered a batch of COVID-19 relief supplies to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation, and Mauritanians Abroad in Nouakchott, Mauritania. A handover ceremony was held at Nouakchott International Airport, attended by Chinese Embassy Economic and Commercial Counselor Xi Wei and Yazid, Director of Infrastructure, Equipment, and Maintenance at the Mauritanian Ministry of Health. The two sides jointly inspected the supplies and signed a handover certificate. This donation formed part of a broader series of more than 20 shipments of Chinese anti-pandemic aid, including vaccines, previously provided to Mauritania.
