Project narrative

On March 23, 2020, the Chinese government provided anti-epidemic materials to the Central African Republic. These materials consisted of 4,000 gloves, 3,000 masks, 150 coveralls and 100 protective glasses. These materials will be distributed to various health centers for COVID-19 response efforts. The monetary value of this donation is unknown. A handover ceremony was held for this donation in Bangui, Central Africa. At the ceremony, China’s Ambassador to the Central African Republic, Chen Dong, handed over the materials to the President of the Central African Republic, Faustin-Archange Touadéra. The Ambassador of France, The Central African Minister of Health Pierre Somsé, Éric Gérard, and others also attended the ceremony.
