Project narrative

On April 24, 2020, the Angolan Government received the first batch of anti-epidemic materials donated by the Chinese Government. The materials included N95 masks, medical masks, medical protective gowns, shoe covers, goggles, and infrared thermometers. The monetary value of the grant is unknown. The supplies were delivered during a handover ceremony in Luanda, Angola. Those in attendance included Chinese Ambassador Gong Tao, Angola's State Secretary for International Cooperation, Angolan Community of Ministry of Foreign Affairs Domingos Vieira Lopes, and Secretary of State for Public Health Franco Mufinda. The supplies originally arrived in Ethiopia, where they were then shipped to 11 other African countries.
