Project narrative

On May 15, 2020, China National Electronics Import and Export Corporation (CEIEC) donated 100 million Kz (around USD 176,200) worth of equipment and supplies to the Angolan government. Some of the goods donated included multifunctional cameras capable of taking individuals' temperatures and 20,000 surgical masks. As of May 20, 2020, the cameras were in the process of being installed at the Quatro de Fevereiro Airport in Luanda. Angolan Interior Minister Eugénio Laborinho thanked CEIEC and asked for China to continue supporting Angola through the COVID-19 pandemic.
