Project narrative

On August 19, 2020, an arrival ceremony was held to celebrate the arrival of a Chinese anti-epidemic medical team in South Sudan. The team consists of 8 medical and nursing experts and they will work in South Sudan for nine days. The team specializes in the fields of laboratory technology, infection, insensitive care, public health, and nursing. During their nine-day residency, the medical team will work with senior South Sudanese government officials, local health experts, medical institutions, and medical staff on COVID-19 prevention and response. During the ceremony, the Chinese government also donated anti-epidemic supplies to South Sudan (Record ID#94236). On August 27, 2020, the medical team finished their mission and held a work summary report meeting.
